Each Extraction Control (ExC) contains inactivated whole-organism mix designed to mimic real-world clinical samples and challenge nucleic acid extraction workflows.

The WP-ExC is built to reflect the diverse microbial communities associated with wound infections. It includes a mix of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria spanning multiple pathogen classes, including biofilm formers, and potential pathogenic Fungi. WP-ExC is ideal for validating extraction efficiency from challenging wound sample types, such as tissue biopsies and swabs from chronic wounds.
